Options for Receiving Benefits
Often times, if you do not receive benefits through an employer, Utah maternity insurance can be difficult to find. Most individual health insurance companies in Utah offer 100% maternity coverage after you have paid an annual deductible or one time co-pay of $5,000 or $7,500.
Here’s how you can receive benefits to help pay for the expenses you incur before your deductible of $5,000 or $7,500 has been met.
Assurant Health Plans offers Utah maternity insurance with a lower deductible than most insurance companies in Utah. If you are interested in learning more about this, please contact us.
Supplemental Insurance Plans
If you are not insured with Assurant Health, there are other options, called supplemental plans or hospital indemnity plans that you can sign up for on top of your regular health insurance.
These plans are often the best option and must be purchased before conception in order to pay benefits for maternity. They can cover some or all of the costs you incur, that are not paid for by your health insurance company.
